I really have no idea where to begin but ever since I was young I dreamed of owning at least one arcade machine. The thought of playing original arcade games at my leisure always mystified me. I've been gaming since the mid 80's and I spent countless hours in the arcades. It became such a habit for me that I would steal rolls of quarters from my parents only to suffer the consequences at a later date :) When I heard of MAME I practically hit the floor. I can play all these classics from my home, in arcade quality perfection, in one cabinet? Sign me up. While not as early coming as our MAME fore founders I did stagger in around version .34 but I would have been there earlier had I known. Trust me. I figure that with this website I can at least encourage one individual that is contemplating building or buying a MAME cabinet to enjoy my feast and folly. I've set it up to be "newbie" friendly in case you don't know a lot about some things (wiring, lighting, hookup etc.)

In addition I would like to thank every single MAME contributor, programmer, graphic editor, forum administrator, tombstone burner, everyone for the countless fun you have bestowed upon millions of gamers including myself. My hat goes off to you and I solute you all. Now that the academy award speech is at a close...lets get into heart and soul of the fun.
