LED ROPE LIGHTING

I wanted to do something different then anyone else so I touched up the control panel a little bit. I eventually will get working on my artwork control panel overlay one of these days

THE GOODS

I went to Home Depot to pick up some LED rope lighting that sells for a remarkably low price of $11 for 18 ft. They had a few color choices but not many the think I remember seeing white, blue, red, and green. You will only need around 10 ft or so on a 4 player cabinet. The stuff is very flexible and comes with 9 fasteners that you can screw into the underside of the control panel...or wherever you are mounting it. The fasteners hold up very well but when installed they have a tendency to stick out a little and they are not really flush. So you have some dips and drops as the line continues. I wanted it to be as close as possible to the corners so I glue gunned it in place. The LED's are all facing in one direction inside the rope so take the time to direct them all in the same direction doing this makes a seamless install. The rope runs off of a typical outlet and has an end cap that pops off in case you want to extend more.
